A Denver sheriff’s deputy fired his gun in a car as he chased the suspect down on Interstate 25 and called for backup, authorities said Monday.
A suspect fired several gunshots and tXO 카지노hen sped off as he crossed on Highway 25 and was pursued to the North Park neighborhood of Denver late Saturday, authorities said.
Two people were shot at the scene, but the gunman was eventually shot and killed by Denver police, authorities said.
The suspect who fled was captured about 5:40 p.m. Sunday in a dark-colored sport utility vehicle driving on Route 35 southbound, said Police Officer Carlos Hernandez of the Denver Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit.
The suspect then reportedly fired shots and fled northbound, the officer said.
The suspect then “located himself near a red light to shoot a vehicle,” Hernandez said.
It was not immediately clear where the suspect was headed, but authorities were urging anyone with information to call them at 720-913-4531, the Denver Police Department’s website said.
The suspect was described as a black man wearing black cargo pants, dark pants and a light-colored, black vest with a metal buckle. He was carrying an AK-47 assault rifle. He was not wearing any other clothing at the time of the shooting.
The suspect’s name was not released Monday, and Hernandez referred reporters to the Colorado Department of Public Safety, which said it is investigating.
